American Flag Bammer

About

There is a thread that runs through the history of this nation — a golden thread, woven by the hand of Providence, connecting the faith of the Founders to the liberty we have inherited. This site exists to help you find that thread, follow it, and hold it fast.

What Is Patriot of God?

Patriot of God is a study resource and gathering place for those who believe, as the Founders did, that liberty is not a political invention — it is a divine endowment. It is built on the conviction that the Constitution of the United States was not a product of mere human cleverness, but was raised up by God for the protection of His children and the advancement of His purposes on earth.

This is not a partisan political site. It is not affiliated with any party, campaign, or political organization. It is a place of study, reflection, and conviction — a place where the sacred documents of American liberty can be read in their full text, where the prophetic voices of inspired leaders can be heard on the subjects of freedom and tyranny, and where the great books and essays of the liberty tradition can be found and explored.

If you love freedom, if you believe that God has a hand in the affairs of nations, if you are troubled by the forces that threaten constitutional government and individual liberty — this site was built for you.

Built on Sacred Ground

The Founders of this nation were not perfect men. But they were, in the words of President Ezra Taft Benson, some of God’s choicest spirits — raised up for a specific purpose, at a specific moment in history, to do something that had never been done before: to establish a nation built on the God-given rights of man.

The Declaration of Independence announced to the world that these rights are not granted by government — they are granted by the Creator. The Constitution was designed to protect them. The Bill of Rights was written to make that protection explicit and permanent. These are not merely historical documents. They are, as President Benson called the Constitution, “akin to the revelations of God.”

The pages of this site present these documents in their full, unaltered text — not summarized, not paraphrased, not filtered through any political lens. Read the words themselves. Study them. The more carefully you read them, the more clearly you will see the hand of Providence in their framing.

A Prophetic Witness for Liberty

One of the most remarkable and least-known facts about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the depth and consistency with which its prophets and apostles have spoken on the subjects of freedom, constitutional government, and the dangers of collectivism and tyranny.

From Joseph Smith to Brigham Young, from David O. McKay to Ezra Taft Benson, from Boyd K. Packer to Dallin H. Oaks — the Lord’s servants have warned, taught, pleaded, and testified. They have called socialism by its name. They have spoken of the divine inspiration of the Constitution. They have urged Latter-day Saints to study the founding documents, to vote, to serve, to stand.

These teachings are gathered here in one place, organized by theme, so that you can study them systematically and share them easily. They deserve to be read, remembered, and acted upon.

A Library for the Patriot Scholar

Liberty has a literature. From the political philosophy of John Locke to the Federalist Papers, from Alexis de Tocqueville’s Democracy in America to Friedrich Hayek’s The Road to Serfdom — the case for ordered liberty, constitutional government, and free society has been made brilliantly, powerfully, and repeatedly by some of the greatest minds in history.

The Library of Liberty on this site is a curated collection of those works — books, essays, speeches, and resources organized by theme, freely available or easily obtainable, selected because they illuminate the principles that made America great and that remain essential to keeping her free.

You do not have to be a scholar to use this library. You only have to care enough to learn.

Staying Informed — The Patriot Feed

The battle for liberty is not only a historical one. It is happening now, in real time — in legislatures and courtrooms, in schools and media, in the quiet erosion of constitutional norms and the loud demands of those who would trade freedom for security or equality of outcome. The Patriot Feed is this site’s window into that ongoing struggle.

Here you will find videos, articles, speeches, notable quotes, legislative updates, and election and voting information — curated with care and presented without apology from a perspective that values constitutional government, individual liberty, and the sovereignty of the people.

A Personal Word

This site was built by a Latter-day Saint who loves God, loves this country, and is deeply concerned about the direction in which it is heading. I am not a politician, a pundit, or a professional activist. I am a husband, a father, and a member of a church whose prophets have repeatedly told me that the freedom God has blessed this nation with is fragile, precious, and worth defending.

I built this site because I wanted a place where the things that matter most on these subjects could be gathered in one place — the founding documents in their full text, the prophetic teachings on liberty, the great books of freedom, and the news and information that help us stay engaged as citizens. I built it for my family, and I offer it freely to anyone who finds it useful.

I believe, with all my heart, that God raised up this nation. I believe the Constitution was inspired. I believe that the prophets of the Restoration have been given light and truth on these subjects that the world desperately needs to hear. And I believe that we — members of this Church and lovers of liberty everywhere — have a sacred responsibility to stand for freedom in our time, as others stood for it in theirs.

Welcome to Patriot of God. I am glad you are here.

“The Lord said, ‘I established the Constitution of this land by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose’ (D&C 101:80). We, the blessed beneficiaries of this inspired document, ought to understand, uphold, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

— President Ezra Taft Benson, The Constitution — A Heavenly Banner, 1986
